Description
Phototherapy with narrow band ultraviolet B (Narrow Band UVB) is the latest advance in the treatment of vitiligo and other skin pigmentation problems as it has no undesirable side effects and is much more melanogenic than PUVA.
Abedul Pharmaceutical Products markets a UVB lamp for domestic use, which allows patients to comfortably administer phototherapy at home without having to travel to a clinic.
The combined use of phototherapy, pigmentation regulators (Meladul) and photosensitizers, both topical and oral (Fenadul) is recommended.
